Pre-Clinical Studies
The TEMPASURE™ Catheter has been evaluated in a variety of animal models at multiple sites in order to validate specific clinical benefits:
- • In the thigh model, ACT has shown strong correlations between Radiometric Temperature and both lesion volume and depth.
- • In-vivo, ACT has shown strong correlations between Radiometric Temperature and both lesion volume and depth independent of force, power and tip orientation.
- • In-vivo, ACT was able to show that a 'safe radiometric temperature' exists – above which steam pops occur and below which they do not. This was shown independent of power and, since it was in-vivo, independent of tip orientation, force, and tissue condition.
