VERITAS™ Technology
VERITAS™ Technology is ACT's proprietary temperature-sensing technology using a chip-based microwave radiometer to continually measure the temperature in the tissue below the heart wall surface. The VERITAS™ Technology radiometer is contained in the Integrated Catheter Tip and interfaces to a proprietary system controller.
With VERITAS™ Technology and the Integrated Catheter Tip, ACT products can not only heat and ablate cardiac tissue but also simultaneously measure temperature at depth in the tissue while it is being ablated. With this novel technology, ACT products can provide an accurate indication of tissue temperature and lesion size, therefore enabling lesion control during irrigated cardiac ablation procedures.
